Although I’m super girlie, I really don’t like to spend my time at day spas. I can never really relax… and it’s hard for me to be quiet… and act spa-y. I think it’s so weird to be lead around wearing a random bathrobe, with all that aromatherapy, and that wooden flute music.

Mani-Pedi = anxious feeling like ‘can ya’ll hurry up, I’ve got stuff to do!’
Spa massage = suddenly I have to pee.
Hair salon = a okay… my girl, Nancy and I have an agreement – no talkie, talkie – just hurry!

I swear I’m really a woman! I just like to get my beauty on at home.

I LOVE to send Mike and the boys out for a few hours and treat myself – by myself.
My favorite bathrobe, my favorite smells, my favorite music!
Add fresh nailpolish, deep conditioner, a gooooood anti-aging facial mask and my new favorite, Snapdragon – a beauty elixir from Votre Vu – and it’s my perfect spa day at home.
** don’t know why I always go ‘RAWRR!’ when I say Snapdragon, but I do.

This week’s Action Item:
Don’t feel pressure to ‘relax’ at a spa – just relax at home. Send your people out for a few hours and get your beauty on at home. not to mention, I HATE putting my clothes back on after an oily spa massage.
If you absoutely hate doing spa things for yourself, pay your favorite spa people to make a house call!… in this economy, I guarantee they’ll come to you!
